Outliers Chapter 3 - The Trouble With Geniuses Part 1

Andy Gruenebaum is a professional soccer player from Columbus Ohio and the steps he took to get there started off in college it was his 1st year in college and as the year went by he was having stressful moments, he was doubting himself and thought about quitting college and soccer, he told his coach about it and told him "If you want to leave, then leave."  Andy had to think about it then he realized he could not waste a unique opportunity, so he changed his attitude around and improved his grades and started improving himself on the field and as his 3rd year in college he was well known in college, after college he was accepted to play for a Columbus crew after that he became a professional. with a lot of support from his family and working hard he was able to make it as a professional soccer player. I see the concept of chapter 3 being applied to this story because for one he only needed to be intelligent enough to be successful in college but after that it was all about thinking creatively and working hard for what you want and that additional intelligence does not matter and does not equate to additional success. but only being notorious will bring you more success because they think outside the box because Andy Gruenebaum talked about opening a business after he retires playing professional soccer, he still becomes successful after retirement, Just like the 10,000 hour method you did not need intelligence all it took was alot of practice. that is why i believe this concept applies to Andy Gruenebaum's life.
