Outliers Chapter 9 - Marita's Bargain
David Lopez was a Mexican immigrant that failed 7th and 8th grade and was close to dropping out of his public school but instead he transferred to charter school and started to love learning after having new mentors that helped him closely and made him understand his subjects and give him the chance of learning good education and later on he found a job in sales and marketing but he felt it was wrong for him to be in a job like that he felt he should do something that'll benefit his people of his same class in society, He returned to school to earn his bachelors degree from UCSD with a goal of transitioning to a non-profit organization that'll help others in the low income class because he realized he was a low income student that graduated college and he wanted to give back to fellow people in the low income class to succeed in education and giving everyone a good access of education in San Diego. Chapter 9 concepts relate to David Lopez life because in the chapter it talked about giving people in the lower class a chance at being able to hard work and becoming successful at graduating and attending college , i believe it relates to the concepts because he was a low income student and he knows by experience and he got the chance of becoming successful and passing that opportunity to other people who don't have that chance on receiving good education and getting a chance to prove they can work hard and become the true outliers.
