Outliers- Chapter 4 Pt 2
Thomas Nazario was successful for focusing his law work on children's rights, especially third world countries. When he was just a little boy he grew in the ghettos of New York, every thanks giving he went out to eat with his family and Thomas noticed a little girl with her mother digging out of the trash can looking for food and from that point on he realized that this world is not good as he thought it was , so he focused on making the world a better place. He went to college but struggled for a while because he grew up a Spanish speaker and problems with dyslexia, Thomas Nazario was a intelligent person just was treated as an outsider but he ended up meeting a mentor and with that mentor he succeed what he was trying to accomplish. It gets him fustrated at times because people can do so much for the world but decide to not do nothing. I believe Thomas Nazario's life applies to chapter 4 concepts because Thomas was also an outcast in school just like Chris Langan he was an outsider, these two distrusted authority so they could not say much in school because they were raised not to challenge authority and speak up for themselves. Thomas Nazario and Chris Langan shared a somewhat similar life they were both poor and had disadvantages in life but the only difference in this is that Thomas found help from a mentor who helped achieve his beliefs of helping Children's Rights and became successful. They both were both struggling in school and at home but just Thomas the only one who found help and Chris just gave up on college and lived on a farm as the most genius man in the world.
